Ep 50 – Playfulness

8-25-19This week there wasn’t much to discuss, but somehow Dhani and John managed to still talk for almost an hour!

First, Dhani saw Good Boys and she talks about the funny, innocent jokes throughout the film.

Moving to TV, Dhani discusses the 2nd season of Mindhunter (Netflix).  This show is right up her alley, but might not be for all.  Next, Dhani and John talk about Jim Gaffigan’s new standup special called Quality Time (Amazon Prime).  Then Dhani wanted to recommend the new show The Righteous Gemstones (HBO) to everyone even though we have only seen one episode!

That was all that Dhani had for new television… but she wanted to let everyone know that she is currently re-watching Orphan Black and how much she is still loving the show the second time around.  Highly recommended to all!

Finally, Dhani convinced John to start watching Jane The Virgin, so she asked him to share his thoughts as they are only 12 episodes in.

And in the Actors’ Corner, they discuss the work of Reese Witherspoon.

Ep 49 – Is This Thing On?

8-18-19We are back with lots of TV updates!

But first, Dhani talks about seeing Fast & Furious presents Hobbs & Shaw.

Then, moving on to TV, Dhani starts by talking about the latest season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D (ABC).  Then she talks about The Handmaid’s Tale (HULU) and how it is very close to being her favorite show of all time.  Next John joins the discussion in talking about the 3rd season of GLOW (Netflix).

Wrapping things up, Dhani quickly touches on a few shows that have started that she is interested in recommending or finishing.  These are Four Weddings and a Funeral (HULU), BH90210 (Fox), David Makes Man (OWN), and Why Women Kill (CBS AllAccess).

Finally in the Actors’ Corner, we discuss the work of Dwayne Johnson.

Ep 48 – Did I Do That?

8-4-19We are continuing a run by being back a week later!  Go us!

This week Dhani talks about watching Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.  She has mixed views on this movie.

Then she watched the new comedy special by Whitney Cummings called Can I Touch It?  This was very funny and if you like Whitney, then don’t miss this special.

Moving to TV, Dhani finished the final season of Orange Is The New Black.  She is sad that it is over, but feels that they finished it up correctly and sentimentally.  Next, she talks about the series finale of iZombie and the enjoyment she received from that show for 5 seasons.

Finally, Dhani shares her love for Jane The Virgin and her sadness that it is over.  She explains the pure joy received from watching this show and that she will forever recommend people to go back and watch this show because there will never be another one like it.

Lastly, in the Actors’ Corner we discuss the films of Brad Pitt.
